
Oakton Community College Guaranteed Admission Agreement
Marquette University and Oakton Community College have established a formal partnership to better serve students and facilitate the transfer process. Guaranteed Admission is available for students that have received a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), completed an Associate's degree, and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale as a full-time student on all transferrable coursework taken at Oakton Community College, with no grades earned of less than C. The degree programs in the College of Business Administration, Opus College of Engineering, and College of Health Sciences have a higher cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Additionally, students must adhere to the listed requirements below for admission to the respective undergraduate degree programs:
College of Business Administration – three of the five courses below must be completed with a grade of B or better.
ACC 153, ACC 154, MAT 180 (or MAT 250), ECO 201, ECO 202
Opus College of Engineering – A grade of B or better in MAT 250, PHY 221 and CHM 121
College of Health Sciences – BIO 121 and CHM 121
Students may also qualify for Marquette University Transfer scholarships.
Students indicate their intention to participate by filling out the form below prior to, or at the same time, as the Marquette University admission application. The Marquette University admission application must be received no later than December 1 for spring semester enrollment and July 1 for fall semester enrollment. All applicants must submit the required materials for admission.
