
Elgin Guaranteed Admission Agreement
Marquette University and Elgin Community College have established a formal partnership to better serve students and facilitate the transfer process. Guaranteed Admission is available for students that have received a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), completed a minimum of 24 transferable credit hours prior to enrolling at Marquette University, and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale as a full-time student on all transferrable coursework taken at Elgin Community College, with no grades earned of less than C. The degree programs in the College of Business Administration, Opus College of Engineering, and College of Health Sciences have a higher cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Additionally, students must adhere to the listed requirements below for admission to the respective undergraduate degree program:
College of Business Administration – A grade of B or better in three of the five following courses.
ECN 201 (MU Equivalent ECON 1103)
ECN 202 (MU Equivalent ECON 1104)
ACC 200 (MU Equivalent ACCO 1030)
ACC 240 (MU Equivalent ACCO 1031)
MTH 126 (MU Equivalent MATH 1400)
Opus College of Engineering – A grade of B or better in MATH 175, PHY 211, and CHM 164 or 165.
MATH 190 (MU Equivalent MATH 1450)
PHY 211 (MU Equivalent PHYS 1003)
CHM 142 (MU Equivalent CHEM 1001)
College of Health Sciences – A grade of B or better in BIO 110 or BIO 113, and CHM 142. Please note: BIO 110 can be used to make an admission decision; however, BIO 113 is the preferred course that Elgin students will take as it will apply towards the biology requirements of the biomedical sciences program.

Students may also qualify for Marquette University scholarships.
Students indicate their intention to participate by filling out the form below prior to, or at the same time, as the Marquette University admission application. The Marquette University admission application must be received no later than December 1 for spring semester enrollment and July 1 for fall semester enrollment. All applicants must submit the required materials for admission.
