What is Milwaukee's best-kept secret?

One of my favorite places is Zócalo Food Truck Park. You can grab coffee and bagels in the morning or a boba for dinner, they have something for everyone. It’s a fun spot to hang out with friends or take a break and enjoy something new.

What advice do you have for college applicants?

Be yourself—seriously. Don’t try to write or say what you think colleges want to hear. Share your real story, your goals, and what matters to you. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions—about anything! You’re not expected to know it all, and that’s why we’re here. Find a school that makes you feel like you belong and that will support you as you figure things out and grow.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a high school English teacher! I’ve always loved reading and writing, and honestly, my favorite thing to do is still grabbing a good book and hanging out at a local coffee shop. I’ve always been drawn to stories—listening to them, sharing them, and helping others tell theirs.
